What is paint stripping

Depainting is the process of removing paint, ink, paper, plastic, and oil from the surface of materials (usually metals) to improve recyclability. Traditionally, the substrate material is aluminum. Aluminum products now come in various forms, so they have various coatings. Some of the most common products are cans, extruders, lithographic materials, paint sidings, laminates, and chips. All coatings contain organic or inorganic compounds, and usually both. When released through thermal degradation or oxidation, they always undergo chemical changes because composite compounds are reduced to their basic forms. For example, polypropylene is reduced to carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen gas, and water vapor. It can be said that all products discharged during the paint stripping process, except for water vapor, are harmful to the environment.
